EN 36C is a premium 3% nickel-chromium case-hardening steel offering outstanding core toughness and shock resistance. The high nickel content suits the most demanding, heavily loaded gearing, bearing and crankshaft duties where reliability under impact is critical.
EN 36C is often confused with EN 36 / 655M13. Both are 3% nickel-chromium case-hardening steels, but EN 36C (832M13) also contains molybdenum for better hardenability in larger sections. We stock EN 36C / 832M13 — please mention the exact grade in your enquiry.

Carbon runs slightly above the 832M13 maximum of 0.16%; nickel, chromium and molybdenum are within it. If your drawing calls for the strict standard, mention it in your enquiry. Every dispatch comes with the mill test certificate for its heat.

Yes. Cutting is available provided the balance piece is also taken by the buyer; cutting is charged extra.

Prices are ex-Darukhana, Mumbai. Loading, transport and cartage are extra, charged at actuals.

Yes. Every dispatch is accompanied by a mill test certificate stating the actual results for that heat.
